In Québec, several resources are available to help women and their children who are victims of conjugal violence. There are also resources for perpetrators.
1. Police

- Information on all available resources, depending on the situation.
- Victims, family members, or anyone concerned about a situation involving conjugal violence can contact SOS Violence Conjugale.

3. Women's Shelters
There are just over 100 women's shelters in all regions of Québec. They offer various services to women victims of conjugal violence and their children:
- Confidential telephone support, 24/7
- External services (for women not living in a shelter)
- Safe and confidential place to stay
- Individual, group and youth counselling
- Information, referral, support and assistance for procedures (e.g., housing, social assistance, legal procedures, etc.)
- Rights Advocacy
- Post-shelter follow-up
- Social activities
- Community prevention and awareness
- Help for family members and social/legal practitioners
Shelters may be contacted directly by telephone or through SOS Violence Conjugale. Victims, family members, and anyone concerned about a situation involving conjugal violence can contact a shelter.

4. Second-stage shelters for women and children victims of conjugal violence
These 2nd stage shelters provide women, with or without children, specialized services in situations of post-separation conjugal violence in the form of safe and confidential housing.
The first criterion for admission to a 2nd stage shelter is the partner's degree of dangerousness, assessed according to apparent risk factors. The request for admission can be made through a referral from a shelter or a psychosocial worker (CLSC, women's centre, etc.).

- Psycho-social-legal support and referrals
- Help with various procedures
- Prevention, awareness and education
- Activities
- Post-shelter follow-up

5. CAVACs (centres d'aide aux victimes d'actes criminels / victim’s support centres)
CAVACs offer front-line services to victims of crime, their families, and witnesses, with all services being free and confidential:
- Support
- Post-traumatic and psychological/social support
- Legal information
- Assistance for women victims of conjugal violence
- Information on victims' rights and recourse
- Technical assistance
- Referrals to specialized resources

7. Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP) conjugal and sexual violence hotline
Free, confidential information service for victims of conjugal or sexual violence on how to file a complaint with the police and how the legal system works.
